Suspense thriller about terrorists holding the Alaska pipeline hostage. My first novel, it was based on the screenplay below. Originally written in 1976, the story is heavily influenced by my three favorite thriller writers at the time: Alistair MacLean, Hammond Innes and Desmond Bagley; three Brits with a knack for combining action and the forces of nature. I took the opportunity to update it to the present day before adding it here, but left the at times ragged prose intact. It should be pretty obvious I was more at home in the wilderness than corporate boardrooms. Here is the first half of the book (eleven chapters).
